LAGOS, Nov. 23 (AGCNewsNet) – Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has made history with his newly released sixth studio album, Morayo, breaking records within 24 hours of its debut on Spotify and Apple Music.
According to Spotify Africa, Wizkid is the first African artist to be featured on the platform's Active Sound Cover while also debuting at number one on Spotify Nigeria's Weekly Top Albums chart with just one hour of tracking. This remarkable achievement places Morayo alongside other record-breaking albums like Rema’s Rave & Roses, Asake’s Mr. Money With The Vibe, and Burna Boy’s Love, Damini.
The album has received widespread acclaim, cementing Wizkid’s legacy as a trendsetter in the global music industry. Fans have been vocal about their excitement, with some proclaiming unwavering loyalty to the artist. "If Wizkid cough, I go stream," a fan humorously declared on social media.
